Dry-clean only is strongly recommended — protects the silk sheen and delicate Kantha threads.

If you must wash at home, do a very gentle, quick cold-water rinse with silk-safe detergent (only in emergencies).

Do not soak — Kantha embroidery threads can bleed or loosen.

Never wring; press out water softly with a towel.

Dry in shade; avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading and dullness.

Iron on low heat, always with a thin cotton cloth placed on top; avoid pressing directly over Kantha stitches.

Store wrapped in muslin or soft cotton, not plastic; silk needs to breathe.

Add silica gel or neem leaves for moisture control (avoid direct contact with the saree).

Air occasionally to maintain freshness and prevent creasing.
